Tooth pain never waits for a “good time.” If you have swelling, a broken tooth, or a sudden toothache that is keeping you up at night, you deserve fast answers and same day relief.

At Urgent Care Dentist LA, we help patients get out of pain quickly, protect the tooth when possible, and make a clear plan for what comes next.

Why We’re Different Than a Typical Urgent Care

The typical urgent care clinic isa great for general medical issues, but most do not have a dentist on site. That often means you leave with temporary pain meds or antibiotics and a referral to “go find a dentist.”

Here, you can be evaluated by a dental professional and get dental focused treatment right away. If it’s a tooth problem, you’re in the right place.  One and done!

Meet Your Doctor

I’m Dr. Peyman. My approach is simple: listen first, treat gently, and focus on solutions that actually last. When you are dealing with an emergency, you do not need a lecture. You need calm, clear options and a team that can take care of you right away.

What Counts as a Dental Emergency?

If you are asking yourself, “Is this urgent?” it usually is. These are the most common urgent care dental emergencies we see.

Severe toothache or throbbing pain

This can come from deep decay, a cracked tooth, or an irritated nerve.
You should come in ASAP if: pain is intense, you cannot sleep, or over the counter meds are not touching it.

Dental infection or abscess

Infections can show up as a gum pimple, bad taste, pressure, or swelling.
Do not wait if: you have facial swelling, fever, or pain that is getting worse.

Facial swelling

Swelling can mean infection and it can spread.
Urgent warning signs: swelling that is growing, affecting your eye area, or making it hard to swallow.

Broken, cracked, or fractured tooth

A tooth can crack from biting something hard or from an accident.
Come in quickly if: the tooth is sharp, painful, or you see a visible fracture.

Knocked out tooth

If a tooth is fully knocked out, time matters.
Best case: get to us immediately. If you can, keep the tooth moist and avoid scrubbing it.

Loose or displaced tooth after trauma

Even if the tooth is still in your mouth, it may be damaged.
Get checked today if: your bite feels off or the tooth looks moved.

Lost filling or broken crown

This can cause sudden sensitivity and can expose the tooth to more damage.
We can help with: smoothing sharp edges, protecting the tooth, and restoring function.

Bleeding that will not stop

Bleeding after a dental procedure should slow down with pressure.
Come in or call right away if: bleeding continues despite firm pressure.

Dry socket after an extraction

This often shows up as severe pain a few days after a tooth was removed.
If you are miserable: we can treat it and help you feel normal again.

Wisdom tooth flare ups

Swollen gum tissue around a wisdom tooth can get infected and painful.
Common signs: pain in the back of the mouth, swelling, bad breath, trouble opening.

Cuts or injuries to lips, cheeks, or tongue

Soft tissue injuries can be painful and messy.
Get evaluated if: bleeding will not stop or the cut is deep.

Orthodontic wire poking or broken bracket

Braces emergencies are common and uncomfortable.
We can help: relieve irritation, protect the tissue, and stabilize the area.
